Kim's Story
The person behind the porch light
Gold Star Pet Sitting is one person, not a platform — here's who's actually at your door.
Kim
Schoolteacher • Pet & House Sitter • Animal Lover
A career vetran, being trusted with other peoples children, Kim now looks after other family members — the ones with paws — with the same patience, structure, and heart.
Kim spends her days as a schoolteacher. She's spent decades following routines, creating a safe environment for twenty-some distinct personalities at once, following instructions to the letter, and — above all — caring for other people's loved ones day after day and handing them back thriving.
It turns out that is exactly the job description of a good pet sitter. Every pet is a creature of routine. Feeding charts read like lesson plans. A nervous rescue warms up the same way a shy student does — with patience, consistency, and someone who notices the small things. When Kim trades the classroom for pet care, nothing about the standards change only the students do..
The way she works is simple. Every new household starts with a free meet & greet, so pets and people can size her up on their own turf. Your instructions — feeding, medications, walking routes, alarm quirks, which couch is allowed, which room is off limits— are written down and followed exactly. Even emergency plans are drawn up in advance. While you're away, photo updates arrive so you never have to wonder. And it's the same warm smile at your door every time: no roster, no rotation, no stranger with an app.
Your pets, your home, your routines — kept just the way you left them, right down to the porch light being on when you pull back in the driveway after your vacation.
